Internship Experience

The Valhalla Fund — Marketing & Digital Coordination

During my internship experience at The Valhalla Fund, I redesigned websites, run paid ads, managed fundraising campaigns, created social media strategy, and coordinated multi-day charity events supporting Pulmonary Fibrosis research.

In 2024, I managed the entire virtual auction that raised over $20,000. In 2025, I supported the Seattle IPF Walk and coordinated the team for the 7-day Scooter Cannonball fundraiser from Seaside, OR to South Padre Island, TX.

Key Takeaways

My work with The Valhalla Fund has been one of the most meaningful parts of my professional journey so far. I support the organization in honor of my grandfather, who passed away from pulmonary fibrosis, and that connection fuels everything I do for their mission.

In 2024, I independently led the full redesign of the foundation’s website and managed their annual virtual auction from start to finish. I created all promotional materials, ran paid ads, reached out to potential donors, secured donated items, and built the entire auction platform myself. I also monitored donations through the foundation’s donation page and provided updates throughout the event. The auction raised over $20,000, and it was accomplished entirely through my marketing, outreach, and project management.

In 2025, my role expanded into broader digital strategy and event coordination. I helped support two major fundraising efforts:

  • The Seattle Walk for Pulmonary Fibrosis, where I helped manage the social media presence, outreach, and posting strategy to increase awareness and donor engagement.

  • A 7-day Scooter Cannonball fundraiser from Seaside, Oregon to South Padre Island, Texas, where I coordinated digital logistics, built custom mapping routes, organized daily stops, created help routes, and managed real-time updates to support riders throughout the journey. I also ran Facebook ads and created content that helped drive visibility and donations throughout the week.

Across both years, I’ve contributed to the foundation’s marketing, digital communication, event execution, and fundraising strategy This work is deeply personal to me, and it has shaped my passion for using marketing and storytelling to support causes that matter.

Other Work Experience

I’ve also gained strong customer-facing and operations experience through roles at Homegrown and Vivi Pizzeria.

These positions taught me how to work in high-volume environments, communicate clearly with customers, support team operations, and maintain organization under pressure. I developed skills in service, coordination, and multitasking that continue to shape how I show up professionally in marketing, events, and project-based work
